In support of the young Lakota Women’s Fund, Magdalena Magazine is organizing a 5 day camping trip on Pine Ridge reservation in collaboration with the Sacred Buffalo Society. Riders will learn about traditional Lakota horsemanship and horses as relatives. The experience includes teachings with lakota grandmother, horsemanship training and full day rides that will include a ride to visit a buffalo herd in person.

Join us for excursions to Cascade falls in the black hills and experience the fullness of Lakota culture at the annual Oglala Nation Powwow ( Wacipi ). A four day cultural event including grand entires, traditional dances, a parade, a rodeo, carnival rides and vendor stalls.

The women’s reciprocity ride is a the first ride of its kind to fund and support a women run organization to support the young lakota women on Pine Ridge reservation who live in one of the poorest regions next to Haiti.
